Tia Mowry was forced to defend herself after talking about her post-divorce dating life on X (the platform formerly known as Twitter). The heated exchange began on Saturday when the natural haircare mogul and “Sister, Sister” star seemingly addressed public pressure to reconcile with her ex-husband, Cory Hardrict.
“Just because the dating life is complicated. Doesn’t mean I’m going to go back to something that no longer served me,” Mowry wrote. “That’s like saying if I don’t book an audition our a part right away I’m going to give up on my dreams as an actor. Please just stop. I ain’t that weak. Please move on because I have. Thank you NEXT.”

Mowry hasn’t been shy about sharing the highs and lows of modern dating as a newly single woman. During a recent appearance on Chris GQ Perry’s podcast, Mowry admitted that getting back out there has been “tough and exhausting.”
“People don’t court people anymore,” she noted to Perry. “They have this mentality, right off the bat that there is someone else, there could be someone else.”
Mowry’s comments on the podcast led many to assume she might be better off returning to Hardrict, whom she was with for 14 years. Others seemed to think Mowry should be more tight-lipped when talking about her ex and her life after him. This is perhaps why Mowry responded so strongly when a fan replied to her tweet with criticism, asserting that Mowry had “a lot to say” at “6 am.” The fan even went a step further by implying that if they were in Mowry’s shoes, they’d be too “focused” on their life and kids to comment publicly on their father.
