Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce may or may not be dating. When asked to confirm the widespread rumors after the Philadelphia Eagles’ recent win over the Minnesota Vikings, Kelce’s brother Jason offered up an answer that was not no.
“I’ve seen these rumors. I cannot comment,” Jason told retired NFL player Tony Gonzalez during Prime’s Thursday Night Football post-game panel.
“Ever since Catching Kelce everybody’s been infatuated with Travis’ love life,” Jason added, referring to the Travis’s E! reality dating show, which aired in 2016. “I don’t really know what’s going on there, but I know Travis is having fun and we’ll see what happens with whoever he ends up with.”
The dating rumors originate with a story Travis told in July on the podcast he co-hosts with Jason about trying to give Taylor Swift his phone number by stringing the digits on a friendship bracelet. He tried to deliver the finished creation during one of her Eras tour stops, but was told he couldn’t speak with her because she was conserving her voice for the show.
“I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” Travis said, adding, “She doesn’t meet anybody, or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal.”
Kelce’s previous partners include sports journalist Kayla Nicole, whom he dated on and off again from 2017 until their breakup in August 2020. Swift has been single but casually dating since her split from actor Joe Alwyn, previously her boyfriend of six years, in February 2023.
