Sophie Turner clearly understands the power of visual communication. Amid her messy divorce from Joe Jonas, the Games of Thrones star seemingly sent a message to her ex on Instagram. On Sunday, Turner flashed an Eras Tour–esque friendship bracelet in a since deleted selfie. The bracelet’s beads were arranged to spell the word fearless in a clear reference to Swift’s song and album. But the bracelet felt, too, like a status update on how Turner is feeling just over a month after she and Jonas revealed their divorce in a joint statement.

It makes sense that Sophie Turner would feel particularly connected to Swift these days. Turner is rumored to be crashing at Swift’s Tribeca apartment while she and Jonas work through their divorce and custody battle. The bracelet, which some have called a “passive aggressive” move, wasn’t the only detail fans noticed in Turner’s latest snap, though. In the background of the same photo, eagle-eyed followers also caught a glimpse of Turner’s Union Jack tote bag, an apt choice given that she’s currently suing Jonas to return their children to England. Turner and Jonas share two daughters: Willa, three, and Delphine, one.
This isn’t the first time the public has projected added meaning onto Turner’s sartorial choices. The actor has yet to comment on the end of her marriage to Jonas beyond the memo they jointly released in September, but last week, just ahead of her four-day mediation process with Jonas, Turner was spotted wearing a smiley-face T-shirt that many took to mean she’s staying positive despite the legal proceedings.
