Not sure if you’ve been keeping up with this It Couple (of course you have), but just in case you somehow didn’t know, a lot has gone down with ASAP Rocky and Rihanna lately. First of all, THEY RECENTLY WELCOMED THEIR SON! Okay, done freaking out. The little fella is the couple’s first child and he was born on May 13 in Los Angeles, according to reports from TMZ.
Aside from this ~blissful news~, Rih and ASAP went through a bit of a tumultuous time leading up to their son’s birth. For instance, there was the truly wild rumor that ASAP Rocky cheated on Rihanna (spoiler alert: he didn’t) on top of the news that he was arrested in Los Angeles after landing from vacation in Barbados with Rihanna, who was reportedly with him during the arrest. Then the two celebrated their son’s birth by throwing a rave-themed shower and were also seen getting “married” in a super-sweet scene for ASAP’s latest music vid.

In the wake of the truly !!! news, a source dished to Entertainment Tonight that the singer is planning on making her performance truly unforgettable, noting that the “stars aligned” and that it’s the perfect opportunity for her to take the stage again. “Rihanna never intended to take this long of a break from performing, it’s just how things turned out,” the insider added. After spending time vacationing and with family in Barbados, Rihanna and ASAP Rocky were reportedly met by 10 police officers when they landed at LAX. The officers apprehended ASAP in connection to a November 2021 shooting.
Both Rihanna and ASAP were shocked by the arrest, and a source told Entertainment Tonight that it “was not something they saw coming.” The source continued, “This drama is the last thing Rihanna needs right now. It was the tweet heard round the world. On April 14, rumors began to swirl that Rocky cheated on Rihanna with a shoe designer when Louis Pisano—who, mind you, Interview once called “Instagram’s messiest fashion influencer,” lol—claimed that the couple had parted ways.

Rihanna broke the internet…again after she appeared on the cover of Vogue looking drop-dead gorgeous. In the profile, written by Chioma Nnadi, the singer opened up about how she and Rocky moved from friends to, well, parents!
