Kylie Jenner’s Latest Fashion Campaign Is Giving Me Whiplash

In another shot, Jenner sports a beaten-up Canadian tuxedo composed of wide-leg jeans and a denim trucker jacket worn with lace-up mules.

The campaign images show off a rarely seen side of Jenner: stripped back, mud flecked, and greased up. In shots taken by photographer Carlijn Jacobs, Kylie Jenner is posed next to herself (how very Parent Trap of her) in coordinating coated denim looks. Her hair hangs in sweaty, undone waves, and her makeup is pared down to almost nothing apart from body paint. (See the photos here.)

“I love the organic relationship I’ve built with Acne Studios,” Jenner said in a press release announcing the partnership. “I am a fan of the brand and I’ve worn their product over the past few years. This campaign is one of my favorites. I loved working with Carlijn and I love the simplicity of the images, they have strength in their directness.”

Just when we thought she’d gone full cottage-core girlie, the mother and mogul was just named the new face of Acne Studios and the star of the Swedish label’s fall-winter denim campaign. Clad from head to toe in oversized denim, with an emphasis on distressed details and dirty washes, Jenner seemed to confirm she’s reached an inflection point in her personal style.

Kylie Jenner has never been afraid to get dirty. I mean, this is a woman who dressed up as Christina Aguilera from her 2002 video “Dirrty” not once but twice. But her latest collab is still completely unexpected.
